About WPC


Wichita Professional Communicators is a welcoming and supportive network of communication professionals in the greater Wichita, Kansas, area. Our members are women and men in all segments of communication, including journalism, public relations, writing, editing, advertising, graphic design, marWPC meeting at Larkspur Bistro in Wichitaketing, photography, education and more.

Every month, we meet for a monthly program featuring a diverse slate of speakers. It’s a great opportunity to network with other professionals in your field. WPC also supports the next generation of professional communicators by awarding a scholarship every year to a local college student.

We’re proud of our long history in Wichita, supporting professional communicators and community members for more than 70 years. WPC was established in 1950 as Wichita Press Women, later changing its name to Wichita Professional Communicators. As an affiliate of Kansas Professional Communicators and National Federation of Press Women, WPC is also your gateway to a broader network of top communicators, opportunities for professional development and contests to be recognized for the great work you do.
