Congratulations to Melissa Traskowsky and Ellen
Traylor,
WPC's two scholarship winners for 2010!

Melissa Traskowsky is a sophomore, majoring in broadcast
journalism at Wichita State University. She is an intern at KAKE
TV and at the Haysville Sun-Times newspaper. She also is the Web
site technician and does graphic design for WSU housing and residence
life. She is a member of WU Crew and the Society of Professional
Journalists. Her professional goals include working as a news
reporter and anchor, and managing a television station.
Ellen Traylor is a sophomore, majoring in communication at Newman
University. She plays on the Newman women’s basketball team, is
president of Newman’s Communications Club, and is a staff writer
for the campus newspaper. Ellen is still exploring her options,
but plans a career in print journalism.
Both winners received awards of $1,000 at the WPC meeting on April
7. Ellen and Melissa attended the meeting to accept their scholarships.
